  2. The Learning Activity • Pre-school children (age 4) to learn how to write their name • Before onset of activity…… • Comfortable learning environment should be provided • Comfortable chairs and tables of appropriate height • Pencils, erasers, and worksheets should be provided

  3. The Audience • Students knowing formation of manuscript letters • Target audience - Kinder/1st grade • Depending on student readiness • Kinesthetic • Cognitive skills

Outcome of Activity • Allow pre-school children the opportunity to learn how to write their name • According to the US Dept of Ed, the years from birth to five are a time of extraordinary change and change • Develop basic knowledge, understanding, and interests they need to reach the goal of being successful learners, readers, and writers • All young children deserve experiences that will help them achieve this goal

  5. Learning Theory Perspective • The educational activity of teaching pre-school children how to write their name will be completed though imitation and the observational learning process • The children will learn to write their name through “observing, retaining, replicating others
