  3. What is an organelle? • What do you think? • Organelle - a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function, and is separately enclosed within its own membrane • What do organelles remind you of? • OUR ORGANS! – they function in very similar ways

  4. What Organelles are found in the “typical” eukaryotic cell? What are their jobs? • We will be copying the following chart into our notes (go to MS word doc)

  5. What do the organelles look like? Can you figure out these organelles based on our descriptions?
