  1. HOME How to create a mockup business card using Adobe Photoshop? What is a business card? A business card can be recognized by the name showing almost all the primary details about any organization including the contact details {phone number, email address, address}, business name, and logo. However, business communication has changed a lot with the use of the internet, yet a business card remains a popular choice of many businesses. Why do we need a business card? A business card can play an invaluable role in the progress of a small-scale business to make it wide-reaching. Since a business card puts the first impression on the customers, it has to be positive and revealing. The reasons why any company needs a business card are: ● Effectively advertises a company ● Create a human connection ● Result in referrals ● Creates a sense of trust ● The old-school audience will appreciate it.

  2. We, DealFuel, provide the best service by offering free mockup templates for a business card. What is a mockup? A mockup is a model or a template that is edited and used to exhibit a replica/model of your final product: it gives your clients a thorough glimpse of what they ordered—in this case, a snapshot of their printed business cards. Why do we need to use a mockup? Using a mockup can be essential for presentations in front of clients. Because you are presenting your designs on real-life items, using mockups to design business cards (and other marketing assets) help you land new clients and larger projects. Business cards create a strong impression of a company. You might be wondering how to create a free Photoshop mockup template for a business card. Let's design it. How can we create an effective mockup business card in Photoshop? ●Step 1: Select the shape of the business card mockup. Before we begin creating a mockup business card, you must first decide on its shape. Here we have chosen a rectangle and created two rectangles of standard size 85mm X 55mm. Now, rename both the rectangles so that we can edit them easily. ●Step 2: Convert them to smart objects.

  3. In this step, we will convert both the rectangles to smart objects. It is done by right-clicking each rectangle in the layers and selecting Convert to Smart Object. By making the shapes smart, we can make changes to them conveniently. ●Step 3: Add artwork. Now that we have created smart shapes, we need to add the artwork to these shapes to design the business card mockup. For this purpose, we can use Photoshop tools to design it or can add already created artwork. In this case, I have already made artwork and will place it. Go to File > Place and choose the image you want to add to the first rectangle. Follow the same steps to add design to the second rectangle. Next, we will switch off the smart object now, and a pop-up will appear that will ask you to save. When you click Save, the work will get saved, and you can see that both rectangles now have the artwork you intended. ●Step 4: Make it look more genuine It is very crucial because this makes the mockup look even more authentic. To make your card look convincing, we will add dimension and shade to it. Firstly, right-click on one rectangle and choose blending options. Now go to bevel and emboss, and you can add depth by moderately adjusting it. It will make the image look like a 3D image.

  4. ●Step 5: Placement of Cards Now that we have made the cards, we need to position them. It is an optional step. You can choose to keep your cards flat and add shadows to them, or you may change their position to make them look more impressive. To do so, we will first right-click on the layer, select blending options, and add in a drop shadow. You can twist the cards by selecting each card and rotating them. Instead of being flat on the surface, this can generate a falling effect. ●Step 6: Adding a background You would want to add a stylish background for your mockup cards. You can add textures to the background according to your requirement.

  5. ●Step 7: More editing Again, this step depends upon your satisfaction levels. In case you are not satisfied with what you have created so far, you can add highlights or lowlights as per your needs. We can do it by choosing Gradient Overlay in blending options. Also, you can create a more 3-dimensional look for your card. To do this, you need to select the Skew feature available in Edit > Transform > Skew. We've completed the process of generating a mockup business card simply. Apart from this, we, DealFuel, offer the best branding mockup for free and other services.
