Weekly Newsletter February 28, 2009 Ohio Valley Women’s Retreat March 20 – 21st in Columbus. The retreat begins at 11 am Saturday and concludes at noon Sunday after worship service. Registration for members is $15, for visitors $10. We’ll be staying at Doubletree Inn (Cols/Worthington) 175 Hutchinson Ave, Cols 45235 – hotel reservations on your own (614) 885-3334 – we are under “Church of Christ”. Guest speaker is Candice Fathi from the Potomac Valley Church of Christ. Register today after service in the back of the auditorium. Upcoming Singles Events: 3/24/10 Meet and Greet with Bill and Hilary Kunes 7:30 pm at the building. Singles Calendar for March available on the table back by the window. This will help us research some current issues. Teens: Louisville Church of Christ Lock-In begins at 11 pm March 5th and goes through March 6th at 7 am in downtown Louisville, KY. Admission is $15 with permission slip and provides adult supervision, racquetball, basketball, bowling, skating, volleyball, ping pong, foozball, air hockey all night, along with food. Welcome to our 2010 Youth Rally Service – My Life is Awesome!Our Guest Speaker today is Maurice Hooks, from the great Kansas City Church. Campus Unconference March 5th and 6th in Milwaukee. Please see Michael DeAquino for details. The Ohio Churches are sponsoring an Ohio Valley Bible and Leadership Training Class. This class will begin in April (Old Testament History) and include extensive reading and online training. This is a great opportunity to build depth and passion in our bible study and also build unity within the Ohio churches. If interested, please see Jim or John Cleghorn. Teens and Campus: Scholarship Applications from GE available for graduating high school seniors and current college students with a 3.0 GPA or better. Deadline for submission is March 29th.
