  7. Come to class prepared with… • Pens or pencil every day! • Notebook lined paper – 200 sheets or more • Not lose leaf. • PLANNER MUST NOT HAVE BEEN PREPARED!

  8. Classroom Procedures: Give Mrs. Tweten your undivided attention when she is talking. • Write down any homework assignment in your PLANNER • Random checks for participation points

  9. Classroom Procedures • Procedural Questions: • Try to figure out yourself first • Then quietly raise your hand to ask Mrs. Tweten • Remain in your desk unless given permission otherwise • Remain in your desk at the end of class until dismissed

  10. Classroom Rules: • No talking when I am talking. No interrupting other students. • No bullying! Be respectful and kind. • Please be on time to class and be PREPARED. • Please take care of all restroom/locker needs before you report to class • Please turn your electronic devices (cell phones, ipods) OFF and put them away or they will be confiscated. THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND LAST WARNING!

  11. Negative Consequences • Warning (“The Look” or verbal reprimand) • Your time • Teacher conference with student • Call parents • Referral to an administrator • For Bullying go straight to a call parents

  12. Rewards • Extra points • Stress-free classroom • Pride in yourself • Positive notes, emails, or calls home • Happy Teacher Your Attitude and Behavior Make a Difference!

  13. Heading for Assignments • Name (First and Last) • Class Period • Date • In the Upper right hand corner of your paper • NO name assignments will receive a 5 point deduction!

  14. What if I’m absent? • FIRST, check the Assignments Board for the DATE that you missed • Then pick up the assignment in the file cabinet • Ask a friend if you’re confused • LAST RESORT: come to Mrs. Tweten with questions • You have 5 school days to make up work (including tests/projects) from being ABSENT

  15. SALTA - Can I turn in LATE work? • Make sure you always turn in your work on time! • “Oops Pass” • Two per quarter!

  16. Where do I turn work in? • On-time assignments are turned into the “In box” marked with your class period • Late and Absent work goes into the bin on Mrs. Tweten’s desk • Pick up graded work from the “Out box” • If you can’t find your graded work check the “No Name” box, then check Skyward to see if I graded it, then come see me

  17. What if I want to leave class? • You must have your planner • For emergencies • For office, attendance center, counseling center

  18. What’s my grade?! • Check Skyward • Ask me before school or after school • If your grade shows up as a “Q” that means the assignment is NOT YET QUALITY • You have 2 days to bring it up to quality or it is a ZERO
