  1. Long Term Monitoring • JPSS Algorithm Team • Presented by • Date

  2. OUTLINE • Products (1 slide) • Algorithm Cal/Val Timeline (1 slide) • Monitoring Methods/Strategies (1-2 slides) • Monitoring Tools (4-5 slides) • Resources (1 slide) • Further Enhancements and Schedules (1-2 slides) • Summary (1 slide)

  3. Products • Provide a list of products and their specifications (spatial and temporal resolution, coverage).

  4. Algorithm Cal/Val Timeline • Four Phases of Cal/Val: • Pre-Launch; all time prior to launch – Algorithm verification, sensor testing, and validation preparation • Early Orbit Check-out (EOC) – System Calibration & Characterization • Intensive Cal/Val (ICV) – Algorithm Calibration & Validation • Long-Term Monitoring (LTM);through life of sensors after ICV (Validated) – Sensor Stability & Data Product Quality monitoring • Algorithm Cal/Val Timeline Launch Pre_Launch EOC ICV LTM Beta Provisional Validated

  5. Monitoring Methods/Strategies • Highlight/summarize monitoring methods/strategy of your products • Identify monitoring tools that are needed and being developed

  6. Monitoring Tools • Describe and illustrate the monitoring tools that your team have or are developing • Address the following: • Capabilities (in their final state) • Web-based/offline applications • Data Source, where/how these are obtained • Visualization software tools used for monitoring • Product performance measures • NRT monitoring capabilities

  7. Resources • What computer resource are you using? • Dependencies on data input • Risk related to monitoring & mitigation • External contributors

  8. Further Enhancements and Schedules • Planned further improvements/enhancements • Planned LTM activities / milestones
