Grassroot development Objectives To create an awareness of all gymnastics activities To teach skills for safe play To use outdoor the space available in urban areas and rural settlements as a safe place and safe environment Make gymnastics accessible in disadvantaged areas through “ FREE GYM “ activities Increase the number of participants from different age groups Implement “FREE GYM” as part of school and extra mural program

Participation level Objectives To create awareness of other gymnastics activities and disciplines To teach skills for safe gymnastics To use the gymnastics and other equipment at schools, community centres and clubs more efficiently and safely To use SAGF awards scheme: “Free Gymnastics” as a grading program To use FIG Parkour Testing Scheme as a complementary program for all gymnastics disciplines and other sporting codes To invite other sporting codes to learn safety skills and to get fit (i.e. cross fit and obstacle course) in a safe environment Introduce Parkour to your club

To make gymnastics accessible and inclusive: using established clubs and trained coaches for different age groups including people with special needs To increase membership and to keep members (i.e. 10 years and older, whom are not interested in competitive program or all apparatus) To introduce a new discipline in your club: PARKOUR and a new competitive program

Championship: 9-13 December 2019 : SAGF Awareness and Parkour Workshop 10 December at Matsport and Parkour presentations at T.A.’s Launch of Free Gym Awards January 2020 ( website/Facebook) SAGF Fitness Day: 12 March 2020 Free Gym Fitness Test Parkour Demo Competition 1 and Open Day at Arnold Classic 15-16 May 2020 FIG L1 Parkour Academy 18-26 June 2020 FIG Age Parkour Group Camp 26-30 September 2020 SAGF Demo Competition: Speed Run at SA Gym Games 2020 Establish a level program for competitive stream to involve Parkour at Zone Championships (Parkour Task Team)

High Performance level Objectives To introduce new FIG discipline & link with existing structures in RSA To identify coaches that are keen on learning new skills to implement a new discipline with a potential for international participation in the near future To train selected coaches to become Parkour Coach (FIG Age Group Camp and FIG L1 Academy) To create an opportunity for Talent ID groups for fast track high performance training To select athletes from current Parkour Clubs to attend FIG World Championship in April 2020 (Hirosima, Japan) To select SAGF coach(es) to observe World Championship April 2020 Create a high performance plan to prepare for 2024 Olympics

FIG Facilitator to extend visit in June : Parkour Camp in Gauteng at a recognised club 27-30 June 2020 Facilitators selected from interested clubs and existing structures to be trained All GL and L1 course facilitators to have an understanding of Parkour and it’s benefits to promote Parkour at all training events Level 1 Parkour Coaching skills workshops in the provinces from 2020
