  1. Spec Framework Text for .11ah Bandwidth Modes Authors: Date: 2011-9-18 Rolf de Vegt, Qualcomm

  2. In this document we propose spec framework text for transmission bandwidths for 802.11ah • Transmission bandwidths (BW) refer to the channel widths (or BW modes) for which the 802.11ah PHY should provide support • Impacts the actual clause on 802.11ah PHY specification • This document is a follow up to document: 11/1238r0 ‘Channelization and Bandwidth Modes for 802.11ah’ Abstract Rolf de Vegt, Qualcomm

  3. The draft specification shall include support for 1 MHz, 2 MHz,  4 MHz,  8 MHz, and 16 MHz PHY transmissions. An 802.11ah STA shall support reception of 1 MHz and 2 MHz PHY transmissions. Spec Framework Text Regarding Bandwidth Modes: Rolf de Vegt, Qualcomm

  4. Add the following text to the .11ah Spec Framework document under the section header: ‘Bandwidth Modes’: • The draft specification shall include support for 1 MHz, 2 MHz,  4 MHz,  8 MHz, and 16 MHz PHY transmissions. • An 802.11ah STA shall support reception of 1 MHz and 2 MHz PHY transmissions. • Yes • No • Abstain Motion Rolf de Vegt, Qualcomm
