  3. ~All About Mrs. Gregson~ • Mom of 3 year old twin girls RaeLynn and Jordyn and 1 ½ year old Brielee • Part of the Catty Family for 11 years (experience in almost every grade) • Excited for this to be my Third Year teaching in 4th Grade • Love: Reading, Summer, Family Time, Teaching and the Green Bay Packers

General Guidelines • Agenda will be used DAILY to record homework • Homework policy – Try your Best and Keep me Informed!! *Graded* • Friday Folders • Students are responsible for their text and practice books throughout the year • Friday Folders • Absent from school -school will call when a child is absent -online forms/paper forms are required • Educational trip forms are required before they leave • Think First Behavior Plan / Peaceful Bus • Olweus Anti-Bullying Program-Class Meeting • DIBELS • PSSAs – Reading, Math and Science • Imagine Math and Imagine Learning

General Guidelines Continued • Address, Phone Numbers and Custody Papers – Keep the office updated throughout the school year. • Transportation Changes – Make any transportation adjustments on time, according to the directions in the Handbook, and through the transportation office, ONLY. • School Fundraisers – GIANT At and Box Tops – Fundraisers helped us get out new Playground last year! • Exciting News!! – 1 ipad for each student – Need Headphones!!

  7. Expressive Arts Schedule • Day 1: Gym • Day 2: Library • Day 3: Art • Day 4: Technology • Day 5: Music

  8. Report Cards Contains letter grades for Language Arts, Math, Science. • 1st Marking Period Ends: November, 2018 • 2nd Marking Period Ends: January, 2019 • 3rd Marking Period Ends: April, 2019 • 4th Making Period Ends: June, 2019

Language Arts Grades will be broken down each marking period as follows: • Weekly Tests 40% • Vocabulary 10% • Grammar 15% • Spelling 15% • Writing 10% • Homework 10% • Each Marking Period will include at least one main writing project. • Book reports are assigned monthly. (Topics may vary by teacher) • Book it will be offered to all students who complete their book report.

  10. Math Students MUST memorize multiplication facts in order to be successful in fourth grade! Grades will be broken down as follows: • Tests 50% • Quizzes 40% • Homework 10% Topics: Numbers and Operations; Geometry; Multiplication; Division; Fractions; Decimals; Word Problems; Time and Measurement; Coach Book will be used

Science • Grades will be broken down as follows: • Tests 50% • Quizzes 40% • Homework 10% • Foss /Science Kits: Water, Electricity & Magnetism, Human Body • Egg Drop: May 3, 2019 • We will be visiting Jacobsburg Environmental Center in Spring. • Science Fair Projects are Mandatory in Fourth Grade! It will take place Wednesday March 6, 2019

  12. Social Studies • Social Studies is now integrated into the Language Arts and Expressive Arts curriculum. There will be no grade on the report card. • Topics of focus include: Map Skills, Regions of the United States, and Tales of the Towpath by Dennis Schull. • Our class Trip will be to Hugh Moore Park in Easton on either May 28th or 30th depending on your classroom teacher.

  14. Rainy Day/Cold Day Walks My Goal is to get your children moving at least once a day. If it is rainy/cold outside please dress them appropriately for an outdoor walk or recess.
