The Story of the Christmas and Nativity The Story of the Christmas and Nativity is a story told by Christians around the world every Christmas. It tells the story of Jesus’ birth, his ministry, and his death on the cross. The story culminates with Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into heaven. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ, our Savior. Christians believe that Jesus was born to help us overcome our sins and reach eternal life. During the Advent season, we prepare for Christmas by fasting and praying. On Christmas Day, we celebrate Jesus’ birthday with friends and family. We give gifts to each other, sing carols, and eat a special dinner called “Christmas dinner.” Many people believe that Christmas also commemorates the presentation of Baby Jesus in Bethlehem by shepherds. The gospel accounts of this event are found in Luke 2:1-7 and Matthew 2:1-12. In these stories, wise men from faraway lands visit Jesus after he has been born to pay homage to him. They bring gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (a type of perfume). When they arrive in Bethlehem, Wise Men ask where Baby Jesus is because they want to give him one of their gifts (gold). The angel who announced Jesus’ birth tells them that he is too young to be presented at this time (verse 2). The Wise Men go looking for Baby Jesus instead and find Him in the temple playing with His brothers Contact US Website : https://modernnativity.com/
