  5. TEST SCORES YOU NEED TO KNOW FSA Reading level 3 score of 350 EOC ‘s Algebra 1 EOC score of 497

  6. What to do in your Freshman Year • Keep your grades up. Build a good foundation with your grade point average. This will open doors to great opportunities, such as honor clubs, Dual Enrollment, AICE and AP courses, field trips, pep rallies, etc. • Take challenging courses. Colleges want to see that you have worked hard and have interest in your future. • Be ready for standardized assessments such as the FSA/ELA, and all your EOC courses. If you pass them you will have more freedom in your schedule as well as not having to retake the tests. • Get organized. Use a calendar to keep track of assignments, due dates, deadlines and other important information. Complete assignments on time. Handing assignments in late will affect your grade. • Start graduation requirements that you can complete, such as the minimum hours of community service, and the online course. • Avoid being tardy or absent!

  7. Attendance is important! When you miss school, you miss: • Class presentations • Assignments • Tests and quizzes • Discussions • Notes • Clubs, practices, sports, fun! • In block scheduling, every time you are out of class it counts as 2 periods of absences

  8. The credits count for both high school and college. DE courses are free and so are the books and fees.
