  1. BMS Action Team 2006-2007 Uganda

  2. 10th September – 6th October • Action team training

  3. The main aim of training includes five particular areas: • Working and living as a team • Adjusting and living in a new culture • Serving the local church • Understanding the nature of the Christian faith • Representing BMS World Mission

  4. Other aspects of training • Two church placements: these will give me hands on experience of living, planning and working together as a team. The churches will be able to offer constructive feedback to my team • Four days at Min-Y-Don Christian adventure centre: for team building

  5. 12th October – 6th April Uganda

  6. Africa (Uganda in green) Mbale Kampala Uganda Entebbe

  7. What I will be doing Uganda • Evangelism – Visiting schools and hospitals, praying with patients, sweeping floors and clearing rubbish in hospitals • Street Witness, door to door church outreach • Drama and Games with children • Building and painting. Encouraging and Strengthening regional and association youth ministries through conferences and youth leader’s seminars. • Teaching in schools , cleaning and spending some time in orphanages.

  8. 11th April – 23rd June UK Tour

  9. Outline of tour • Eight weeks – each week at a different church around the UK (one will be LBC !!!) • Leading church services, RE lessons in local schools and giving presentations on the team's work in Uganda • Five days debriefing at the end of tour

  10. Strong bonds to be formed between my team members For God to ease any difficulties between personalities in the team For my faith and trust in God to develop over the year For God to help me love the people I work with enough to speak the truth to them That God will use me as an instrument of His grace Safety in travel Wisdom and boldness to speak God’s Word For health and strength both physically and spiritually as I work in a new environment and culture Please pray for. . .
