  2. BR #1: Monday, Oct. 13 How were absolute monarchs different than previous rulers? Why would citizens be for absolute rulers? Why would they be against absolute rulers? Explain both sides.

  3. BR #2: Tuesday, Oct. 14 Describe English rule under James I and Charles I.

  4. BR #3: Wednesday, Oct. 15 Describe English rule under Charles II, James II and William and Mary.

  5. BR #4: Thursday, Oct. 16 No bell work. Finish working in your groups on your comic strip or song.

  6. Instructions: • In groups of four, you will need to make comic strip depicting the decline of absolutism in England (from James I to William and Mary). • Your comic strip must be a minimum of 15 ‘blocks’. It needs to be colorful and creative, but remain historically correct. OR • Your group will need to come up with a song describing the decline of absolutism in England (from James I to William and Mary). • Your song must have a chorus and a be a minimum of 30 line (the chorus does not count). • The song must be original and must be school appropriate.

  7. BR #5: Friday, Oct. 17 • Explain the following ideas/terms: • Sovereignty • Limited government • Habeas corpus • Magna Carts • Petition of Right • Once complete, please turn in all 8 bell ringers from this week and last week.
