  2. First Purpose • Bring in the district teachers. • Offer to 20 districts per year. • Launch the KIDS grant. • Train district teachers on various classroom technologies.

  3. Second Purpose • Introduce them to the KIDS model of instruction. • Learn how to implement various technologies in their classroom.

  4. Training Institute • Four days of training. • Learn KIDS model of instruction through four modules. • Each module takes a day. • One day of planning technology in district implementation.

  5. Schedule of Instruction • Introduce the module. • Have question and answers. • Evaluate how the module components work together. • Train on implementing technologies into their classroom instruction.

  6. Engaging Parents Example: Email • Utilize to commutate with parents. • Introduce email, etiquette, and email systems.

  7. Training Days • Tuesday is dynamic curriculum. • Wednesday is diverse instruction. • Thursday is accessing and capturing learning. • Friday is instructional planning.

  8. Goals of the Institute • Train teachers to implement technologies. • Use existing and new technologies in classroom effectively.

  9. Instruction Every piece of technology will then be implemented. • Using multiple classrooms. • Training parents. • Enabling students to take technology to the home environment.

  10. Goals • Make teachers comfortable with technology. • Teach them to train other teachers. • Demonstrate to others on how to use technology effectively.

  11. Instructional Plan • Align technology provided. • Decide with district needs. • Choose technology implementation. • How? • What? • How much?

  12. Equipment • Provided as a participating district. • Shown additional equipment to purchase. • Supplied technology. • Equipment • Software • Training • Aligned with the grant’s goals.
