  2. “The Nile is a gift that the God give to the people in Egypt,it is the mother of land, there is nothing more important than The Nile”A Greek Historian said

  3. Information The major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa Longest river in the world(6700 Km)(100 km2) Run through about 10 countries Two tributaries(The White Nile and The Blue Nile)

  4. The two tributaries(The White Nile) The White Nile is longer and rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source still undetermined but located in either Rwanda or Burundi. It flows north through Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda and South Sudan.

  5. The Two Tributaries(The Blue Nile) The Blue Nile is the source of most of the water and fertile soil. It begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia at 12.03583°N 37.26472°E and flows into Sudan from the southeast. The two rivers meet near the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.

  6. The Egypt Civilization The northern section of the river flows almost entirely through desert, from Sudan into Egypt, a country whose civilization has depended on the river since ancient times. Most of the population and cities of Egypt lie along those parts of the Nile valley north of Aswan, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along riverbanks. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

  7. Change of The Nile The Old Stone Age About ¾ people live in the area Fertile soil Water Supply Natural resources(fishes)

  8. Change of The Nile Nowadays… 90% people live in the area Too much live stocks Climatic change Desertification

  9. Pollution of The Nile Polluted seriously Agricultural(the wastes of the stocks) Industry(the development of the people) Human Activities

  10. Contribution of The Nile The development of The Egypt Civilization Full of natural resources to the people Generating energy(Dam and Hydro-electric power Fertile soil Transportation Tourist Attraction

  11. Transportation Network The Nile has long been used to transport goods along its length. Winter winds blow south, up river, so ships could sail up river, and down river using the flow of the river

  12. Fertile Soil While most Egyptians still live in the Nile valley, the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam ended the summer floods and their renewal of the fertile soil, fundamentally changing farming practices.

  13. Water sharing disputes The Nile's water has affected the politics of East Africa and the Horn of Africa for many decades. Countries including Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya have complained about Egyptian domination of its water resources. The Nile Basin Initiative promotes a peaceful cooperation among those states
