  3. Early Years • Age 12, she felt the strong call or God • Age 18, she left home and joined the Sisters of Loreto • May 24, 1931, she took her initial vows as a nun

  4. Extravagant Missionary October 7, 1950 started her own order “The Missionaries of Charity” She was also an international missionary. She was one of the greatest missionaries of all time. The End Is Near • Mother Teresa suffered a heart attack in Rome in 1983. • She had a second attack in 1989 • She suffered pneumonia in 1991 • She fell and broke her collar bone in 1996 and had heart surgery later that year • March 13, 1997 she stepped down as head of “Missionaries for Charity and later that year she passed away.

  6. Life Goes On • Mother Teresa is a beloved soul. • She stills lives today, with in us all. • She is an inspiration to many. • And she is of the upmost greatest of all role models.
