  1. TODAY A SPECIAL INTERVIEW OF OUR REPORTER FRANCESCA FELLA TO MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA…don’t miss it!!!

  2. -Good morning, I’m Francesca, it’s an honour for me to have an interview with a special person who I admire so much. Thanks for the chance that you’re giving me.-Oh thank you, it’s a pleasure for me!-Can we start?-Of course.-What do you remember of your childhood and adolescence? - My real name is Agnes Gonxha, I was born in an Albanian family. When I was only twelve years I felt the first call of God and at the age of eighteen I left my home in Skophie and I joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns. • Memorial house of Mother Teresa.

  3. -When did your mission start?-Six weeks later I moved to India where I taught for 17 years in Calcutta and while I was teaching I heard my “call within a call”. I decided to devote myself to caring for the sick and poor because I glimpsed around me the suffering and the poverty.

  4. - How did you do it?-I moved into the slums with the poorest of Calcutta and I organized dispensaries and outdoor schools.I founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charity in 1948 and today, thanks to our care, we can find severalcentres serving the destitutes in 90 countries.

  5. -What was the reaction of the people?-I had the recognition of many people,in fact, they followed my vision of life becoming voluntary helpers. The authorities helped me too through financial support.-Certainly your work has been acclaimed throughout the world.-Yes,as a matter of fact,I have received a number of awards including the Pope John XXII Peace Prize in 1971, the Nehru Prize and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. • Nobel Peace Prize

  6. -What is your vision?-My vision is not only being a messenger of God,but also persuading many people to love the others and to discover the advantage that all could obtain from living in peace in a world where selfishness doesn’t reign and solidarity is very important .- In my opinion, you are worthy of being considered a leader and surely people have been conquered by your unselfishness and your unlimited nobility of soul.-Thank you very much. God bless you!
