  3. Benefits • Faster offering • Free up donor coordinators for donor maintenance and looking after donor family • More accurate clinical decisions • Reduced administrative time • Improve capacity for expected increase in donor numbers

With EOS: Electronic data capture Short phone calls only Faster offering leaves time for donor and family care Parallel “Early information” Process changes – overview Now: • Manual data capture • Long telephone calls for offering • Slow, time-consuming offering distracts from donor/family care • Repetitive • No “early information”

EOS - Current Status of Development • Development in progress (70% done) • Screens are in a mixture of states – some aren’t styled, none are polished • At least 50 screens to be developed in total Today we will see • Walkthrough of process with screenshots • Live demo of selected screens • Donor coordinator homepage • Recording a callout • Entering donor information

  8. Possible Future Functionality • Automatic notifications (e.g. of offers) • Images, XRays recorded against donors • Potential donor audit • Recipient coordinators responding to offers online • Fast Track offers (when cold ischemic time is an issue)

Project Status • Part way through development phase • The iterative nature of Sapient Approach means we can demonstrate working parts of application • Test plan now in place, functional testing started Monday 19th May. • Want regular reviews with DTCs, Duty Officers, Recipient Co-ordinators in UAT etc • Simulation testing due to commence in September 2008 • Involves a cross section of DTC‘s, Duty Office staff and Recipient Co-ordinators • Aim of simulation is to prove that the system works end-to-end
