DCS “Holding” Area • QA team views all DCC records prior to accessioning • “ Holding” area for records submitted but not accessioned due to: • do not meet initial selection criteria • duplicate record (a mirror) • off-line ( permanently or temporarily) • changed content such that no longer meet criteria

  8. Linkchecking • Software passes over URLs 2x a day • If consistently inaccessible 3 days, follow-up • If redirect, update URL • Search for new URL • Contact creator when possible • Change as indicated by creator • Move to holding if no response
