  1. EVALUATION TASK 6What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?

  2. Flip camera: We used a flip video camera to shoot our final film with. I have never had any experience with this piece of equipment, however I found it easy to use, and easy to grasp the instructions of how to work it. This allowed us to film our product in good quality, however one drawback would be that when handheld, it can be shaky, therefore a tripod would need to be used to prevent this.

  3. Tripod: I have also never had any experience with a tripod before, however I discovered it was very easy to manoeuvre and get used to. This piece of equipment really came in handy as it prevented some parts of our film being shaky. The handheld lever which allowed the camera to move into different angles was very helpful also as it allowed us to get good tracking shots. One drawback would be adjusting the height, which took a while to do as it has three legs.

  4. Photoshop: I had previous experience with Photoshop before as I had used it in my other A level subject, textiles. However I still didn’t feel extremely confident with it as I found it very sensitive and hard to manoeuvre. Although it did help us create our product title and logo and made them look very professional. It allowed us to experiment with different designs which would be catered to exactly what we wanted. However, one drawback would be that I found it hard to use on occasions, as it was very sensitive.

  5. Final cut: Final cut was fairly easy to use, however I had no previous experience with it, therefore I found it tricky to get the hang of. I didn’t participate in the final cut section as much as the others as I found it complicated. However it allowed us to edit our film and fit our criteria which is what we were aiming for. One drawback would be the complications that came with it.
