  3. Good News • 98% of library systems qualified for PLF • 2008/09 budget - new “BCPs” 2008/09 for CSL • $1.42M - new online library system • $2.6M - relocation costs to facilitate renovation of historic Library and Courts Building

  4. Anticipated Reduction in Library Budgets for FY 2008-09 94 Libraries Reporting

  5. Challenging News 10% reductions slated in 2008/09 proposed State budget for most funds

  6. Challenging News Cont’d • Eliminating 9 vacant positions • Shifting 3 positions from state to federal funds • Materials budget reduced to $885,000
