  6. Results • The hardware now gives us our original “2-bit” idea • 1 1 for a running train • 1 0 for an stopped train • 0 0 for no train on that track

  9. Multiplexing CPLD • 46 Inputs • One for each track section for each level detector • 9 Outputs • One byte of outputs for quick detection of an engine with an unknown location • One bit of output for specific detection
