Explore the transformative power of mountain top experiences as seen in Matthew 17:5, where Jesus' transfiguration is revealed. Just like the disciples, we are called to bring this transformation down into the villages. Being carried along by the Holy Spirit, we can embrace the journey of faith and respond to our calling of transformation among the people around us based on 2 Peter 1:21.

Mountain Top Experiences: Transfiguration Matthew 17:5 “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
The three disciples had “a mountain top experience” when Jesus’ face and clothes transfigured before them, and when they heard the confirmation from the voice in heaven that He is indeed the beloved Son
Return to the Valley Callings: Transformation The disciples wanted to build houses on the mountain top for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah, but Jesus instructed them to rather follow him down the mountain into the villages (Matthew 17:4, 9)
Our own mountain top experiences with Jesus are not the end in themselves. Transfiguration experiences lead to a calling of transformation down in the villages among the people.
Carried along by the Holy Spirit: Transportation 2 Peter 1:21 “…but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
The challenge for those who had “mountain top experiences” (transfiguration) that lead to transformed lives among the people in the village is the willingness to be transported by the Holy Spirit wherever He takes us.
