    4. Providing Feedback How do I give feedback to the Presenter? From the Feedback menu in the upper right corner of the Meeting Client, click the appropriate option from the Feedback to Presenter list. 4 Please use feedback to let us know if you can’t hear or need us to slow down.     5. Asking A Question How do I ask a question? To ask a question, type your question in the Q&A text box, and then click Ask. 5 All participants are muted due to the high volume of attendees. Use directions on the slide to ask a question. Note that because of system capabilities, you will only be able to submit one question at a time. Until the presenters have answered/cleared your question, you cannot submit another one. Type in your questions as we go if you like. Questions will be answered mostly at the end of presentation.     8. SAGE Law Changes: Ratios Required student: teacher ratio is 18:1 or 30:2. No waivers may be granted by DPI.     9. SAGE Law Changes: SAGE Aid Because waivers are not allowed, schools reporting ratios out of compliance with the law on third Friday will NOT receive SAGE Aid for the school year. Accurate reporting for the ENT will be very important; please utilize the instructions provided for you. 9 Note that schools that are out of compliance on third Friday may be able to retain their SAGE contracts.     10. SAGE Law Changes: Reporting For fall planning and ENT reports, consider the following factors: Schools with high mobility must be 18:1 or 30:2 on third Friday. Reporting students with disabilities Students that are in the classroom for any core curricular subjects, Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, should be included in your student: teacher ratios. Students that are in a pull-out classroom should be counted in the multi-age section of the ENT to ensure proper reporting. Reporting migrant students Schools should plan to be at 18:1 or 30:2 on third Friday. 10 SwD – note that this is a change from past policy – it used to be 50 percent or more in the classroom.     11. SAGE Law Changes: Future Communication Once the bill is signed into law: All current SAGE schools will receive a letter from DPI regarding law changes. SAGE schools with waivers that will not be up for contract renewal for 2010-11 will receive a letter regarding the terms of their waivers. All districts/schools eligible for new SAGE contracts will receive a letter with information regarding the new contract application process. 11

    13. SAGE Law Changes: Future Communication Beginning of school year 2010-11 DPI will offer several meetings for interested schools and districts regarding reporting, updates, and best practice. Follow-up information, including meeting agendas, dates, and times will be sent to districts as the new school-year approaches. 13

    14. Adding New Sage Schools: Eligibility To be eligible for a SAGE contract, a school must meet the following requirements in 2009-10: The district in which the school resides must have at least one school with a low-income rate of at least 50 percent.     15. Adding New Sage Schools: Process Notification DPI will be mailing information to eligible districts and schools. Contracts for New Schools will be: Available on SAGE website. Due July 30, 2010. 15
