  5. PAGE 82… • Globalization of businesses means that goods are produced using resources, raw materials, and services from several countries. • Example: The parts of a cellphone are made all around the world.

  6. PAGE 84… • Communication is the way that people send and receive information. • Fast communication helps local, national, and world trade.

Summarize the Lesson • Because no region can produce everything it needs, all the regions of the United States are economically interdependent. • The globalization of businesses means that goods are produced using resources, raw materials, and services from several countries. • Fast transportation and communication have made local and world trade easier.
