    14. Vision Increasing Competitiveness of Egyptian Leather Tanning Products through the relocation of tanneries in Magra El Ouyoun area to a new industrial city under the main objective of developing the Egyptian leather tanning sector and increasing added value for tanned leather products. Objectives Creation of 550 new tannery Investments: 5.5 Milliard EGP Production: Increasing production of tanned leather products to reach 250 million square feet /year with a percentage increase of 280% Development: Production of high value added Finished tanned leather products. Creation of new Job opportunities: 25,000 Worker Exports: > 300 Million Dollar / year

    15. Project Management Applicant: Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade (MIFT) Implementing Agency: General organization for the industrial and mining projects (IMC) Technological Partners: Technological Cooperation with foreign technological partners for developing production processes, decreasing pollution and increasing value added. Being a natural continuation of a previous initiative carried out in the framework of the first phase of the Debt for Development Swap Program, the project contributes to the creation of a new industrial specialized in tanning.

    17. Research and Development Cooperation with foreign technological partners specialized in tanning processes for developing production processes, decreasing pollution and increasing value added. Liquid Wastewater Treatment Plant: Establishment of WWTP for general effluents (1.2 million m2), Chromium recovery (treating 120 m3/day) and Saline water treatment (treating 600 m3/day) Solid Waste Treatment: Landfill with a capacity of 33,000 m3/year, duration of 50 years and a solid waste treatment plant with a capacity of 400 tons/day. Establishment of an Environmental Laboratory. Training and technical support on Eco-Tanning.

    18. Industrial and Technological Services Establishment of a Leather Tanning Technology Center Area: 6000 m2 Services: Training Consultancies and Technical Assistance. Quality, environmental, Chemical and Physical testing Designing production lines and choosing machinery Leather Tanning Equipment maintenance Technology Transfer and innovations.

    28. Recycle of Metal Alloys Scrap Company: EIPAL-Egyptian International Company for Aluminium Profiles This project aims to: Recycle the scrap metal alloy dies (H 13 Tool Steel) to produce new dies with the same specification of the original. Solve the national problem of accumulation of steel scrap from all companies of aluminum production companies. Cost benefit analysis: Price of H13 Tool Steel Scrap = 2,000 L.E./ ton Recovery cost = 15,000 L.E./ton Price of imported H13 Tool Steel = 45,000 L.E/ton Net Saving = 28,000 L.E./ ton Annual produced scrap = 24 ton/year Annual Net Saving = 672,000 L.E.
