  4. Antedate – an earlier date Dr. Schmidt made history when he antedated the rare fossils found in Denton.

  5. Antenatal - prenatal Mothers who care about their babies need to make sure they eat healthy food, abstain from harmful substances, and obtain expert antenatal care.

  6. Anterior - previous • The tensions anterior to the falling of the Berlin Wall represented three decades of the Cold War.

  7. EM – IN, INTO • Embellish – to adorn in excess • Embezzle – to take in wrongly-as in money • Emulate – participating in the feelings of another

  14. Epigram – a short statement that makes an observation about life. Coach Keese’s favorite epigram was: “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.”

  16. Kin - Motion • Kinesis – movement • Kinesthetic – the sensation of movement • Kinectic – pertaining to motion

  17. Kinesis - movement The new resistance machines use Kinesis to fuse aerobic exercise. It engages muscle and movement simultaenously.

  18. Kinesthetic – the sensation of movement Kinesthetic learners like hands-on work and movement. Other types of learners are visual and auditory learners. Which type are you?

  21. Pathosis – a diseased condition Gum disease is a horrible pathosis that can require painful gum scraping procedures. Don’t forget to floss!

  22. Persistant- never giving up Although Meagan had to retake college algebra five times, her persistence was rewarded when she graduated.

  23. Psoriasis – skin condition Psoriasis is a common skin condition that causes skin redness and irritation. Most people with psoriasis have thick, red skin with flaky, silver-white patches called scales. Don’t drink alcohol-it can predispose you to this nasty pathosis!
