  5. Expanding Collections • FY2011Budget • $20,000 for materials • With this money, we: • Provide patrons with new materials • Preserve our current collection • Buy access to research databases • In FY2012, we hope to continue this tradition. GMML

  6. Expanding Collections – New Materials • We hope to purchase: • Updated encyclopedias • Updated maps of our area • YA books and materials • Biographies of local celebrities and community heroes GMML

  7. Expanding Collections – Preserving Material • In FY2012, we hope to purchase these and others for preservation: • Lint-free cloth (for DVD cleaning / preservation) • Dust jackets for books • Leather polishing / preservation materials • Non-latex gloves to keep oils off the books during cleansing and preservation GMML

  8. Expanding Collection - Databases • Currently, we have 3 databases available for patron use: • Academic Search Premier • Gale Virtual Reference Library • NexisLexis GMML

  9. Expanding Collections - Databases • In order to provide more information and materials to our patrons and community, we hope to purchase these databases in FY2012: • Funk and Wagnall’s New World Encyclopedia • Mayo Clinic • MedLinePlus • Books@Ovid • Book Review Index Plus GMML

  10. Equipment Expenses • We need for the FY2012 year: • Rolling book carts • Cold temperature laminator • Upgraded McAffee Antivirus Plus • FY2012 Expense total: $12,000 GMML
