Birds of Watson Lake Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. Signpost Seniors’ Centre Presentation by Ted Murphy-Kelly, Manager, Albert Creek Bird Observatory at Upper Liard Stay afterwards for the first AGM for Friends of Albert Creek Bird Observatory A local non-registered group dedicated to assisting the Society of Yukon Birds Observatories in the work of the Albert Creek Bird Observatory at Upper Liard. Assistance is given through: site preparation, fund raising, data collection, public education and engagement . Promoting economic and recreational benefits of the Observatory.   7. Watson Lake Community Lotteries Program Any Not for Profit, Municipal Government or Individual can apply for fund for a variety of recreation based supplies, equipment, travel etc.. All applications must be in by the following Dates January 15 May 15 September 15 Applications can be found on the Town of Watson Lake Web site, at the Town office and at the Recreation Centre

  9. The Watson Lake Recreation Centre is pleased to announce it’s annual “Easter Egg Hunt” Saturday, April 19th 10am Age 0 to 10 All the candy will be out at 10am so please don’t be late Bring your Easter basket or a bag of some sort for your little ones!!

  15. Zumba Every Thursday at 8pm @ the Rec Centre Our instructor was trained in Vancouver. This is open everyone of all shapes and Sizes. Wear comfy clothes $5 per session or purchase a monthly or 10 time punch pass and come for free

The Rec Centre will be open Monday to Friday 8am to 11:30pm Saturday 10am to 6pm Sunday Closed Greyhound will be open Monday to Friday 8am to Noon & 5pm to 11:30pm Saturday 10am to 6pm If you require a ticket for Saturday’s Bus you must come during our regular Business hours

  20. Recreation Centre policy on Children and Youth • As you may all be aware all children coming to the recreation centre unsupervised must be 10 years of age or older. All children 10 and under must be supervised by someone 16+. • This does not include children registered with our after school program or any other children's program that may be going on. • All youth under 16 will not be allowed in the Rec Centre after 10pm on school nights. You have homework and you need your sleep!!
