  4. Counselor= Paracletos (Helper, Advocate, Counselor, Someone Who Stands Beside You)

  5. Another = Allos (An Exact Likeness)

  6. “But, the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, Will teach you all things and bring to Remembrance all that I said to you.”

  7. WHY?

  8. To enable them to continue the work • Begun by Jesus Christ • To write the Bible

  9. “For the Son of Man has come to save that which has been lost” Luke 19:10 and Matthew 18:11

  10. For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” Mark 10:45

  11. “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” John 10:10

  17. Learn from Me, for I am Gentle and humble in spirit. Matthew 11:29

  23. By this we know that we have come To know Him; if we keep His Commandments. The one who says “I have come to know Him,” and Does not keep His commandments Is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:3-6

  24. Who then can be saved?

  26. The Holy Spirit was not given to us so that we can be passive Christians. He was given to us to indwell our hearts so we may know Christ, understand his teaching, and to enable us to continue His work on this earth.

  27. On our own we cannot change our hearts, our character, or our sin nature, but the Holy Spirit Can!

  28. The prove of our love of Christ is seen in our obedience to the teachings and commands of Christ.

  29. Know His Commands

  30. Take action to be obedient.

  31. Pray

  32. We obey Christ not by gritting our teeth and doing what we hate, but by depending on His power to enable us to do what our love of Christ compels us to do. Willing obedience leads to an intimate relationship. Charles Stanley
