Academic Highlights • The percent of all students at Martin Middle School scoring proficient and advanced in math (90%) is one percentage point higher than the state average and has steadily improved. • The percent of all students at Martin Middle School scoring proficient and advanced in reading and language (93%) is three percentage points higher than the state average and has steadily improved. • A grade of “A” has been achieved by our students for the past five years (2003-2007) on the state’s writing assessment.

GOALS and PERFORMANCE TARGETS • DECREASE THE PERCENT OF ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AND STUDENTS WITH DISABILTIES SCORING BELOW PROFICIENT IN MATH BY 10% EACH YEAR FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS. • DECREASE THE PERCENT OF ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AND STUDENTS WITH DISABILTIES SCORING BELOW PROFICIENT IN READING AND LANGUAGE BY 10% EACH YEAR FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS.

Click on the Report Card icon. • At this point you can review the STATEWIDE or a SYSTEM Report Card. • Scroll down the list of systems and click on WEAKLEY COUNTY. It will be highlighted. Click GO. • At the right of the WEAKLEY COUNTY REPORT CARD 2007 screen you will see a menu of four items to help you understand how to interpret the REPORT CARD. • At the top middle of the screen you will see INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS. Click on it to choose MARTIN MIDDLE SCHOOL.
