  • Formal or informal communication : voicemodulation, tone andvocabulary, speed of speech, adaptingcommunicationtotheunderstanding of the auditor, theuse of specific support.
  • Non verbal communication
  • Reasoningwithclearideas, relevant, concise, persuasive, adaptedtothe context and interlocutor

  • Social aspects of the disease: the concept of disease, the consequences of the disease, attitudes to illness.
  • Social roles in the therapeutic relationship: social status, social role of the nurse and the patient.
  • Types of nurse-patient relationships: complementary,  leadership, cooperation, complicity
  • Conflict of the roles: economic circumstances, expectations, assessing disease severity, interests and priorities, settle the conflict
  • Control strategies: verbal, non verbal language, paralanguage, facial expressions, attitudes, positions, persuasion, negotiation, patient rules, rules for nurses
  • Sociology, social and halth policy module
  • Year I
  • 120 hours of which 60 hours of laboratory

List specific skills relevant competencies of this module:

1. Explain the theoretical concepts of sociology

2. Identify the elements of sociology of communities

3. Analyze and synthesizes the data of medical sociology.

4. Describe the role of sociological research

  • Self-esteem and ego identity (acceptance own image by others and accepting the image the others have )
  • Diagnosis of disease communication, empathy
  • Medical psychology module

  • 60 hours, including 36 hours of laboratory
