  3. Compatible numbers give you a sum… That is easy to use… in your head.

  4. For example… 75 + 17 + 83 + 25 = ?

  5. 75 + 17 + 83 + 25 = ? 75 and 25 are Compatible. 17 and 83 are Compatible. 75 + 25 = 100 17 + 83 = 100

  6. So… 75 + 17 + 83 + 25 = 200 By finding and adding the compatibles!

  7. Which of these problems contain compatible numbers? 29 + 71 87 + 29 29 + 837 30 + 270 465 + 35

  9. You can make your own compatibles… In your head !

  10. For example… When adding 75 + 29

  11. Leave 75, but make a compatible… out of the 29 (think 25)

  12. So adding 75 + 29 Is like adding 75 + 25 = 100 then adding the 4 = 104.
