Definitions • Organizational Partner • Referencing users that are from a system or entity that is authorized to access the San Diego Beacon HIE • Individual Partner • Referencing users that are not affiliated with a system or entity that is authorized to access the San Diego Beacon HIE
Scenarios • Organization Partner Onboarding • Individual Partner Onboarding
Organization Partner Matching • Users are from a system or entity that is authorized to access the San Diego Beacon HIE • System or entity has the responsibility to authenticate and authorize users of the HIE and therefore users of the D&TS
Individual Partnter Matching • Users are not from a system or entity that is authorized to access the San Diego Beacon HIE • Users must provide certain information to be authenticated and authorized • First Name, Last Name, Email Address, NPI*, Provider Type*, Specialty*, Government Issued Photo ID, Copy of Medical License/Certificate* • *Required for Clinician users only. For non-clinicians a second photo ID may be provided in lieu of Medical license/certificate • Information to be authenticated by San Diego Beacon staff • Once authenticated users will be provisioned
