  2. 香港自資專上教育 • 香港政府 2000年《施政報告》宣佈推出措施, 在 2010 年或之前，讓60%的高中畢業生有機會接受專上教育 • 支持非牟利教育機構開辦自資專上教育課程 • 「副學位」(Sub Degree) 及「副學士學位」(Associate Degree) 課程

  3. 香港自資專上教育進展 • 2006《教育改革進展報告》指出,2005/2006學年中, 適齡學生參與專上教育的整體比率, 提高至 66% • 已達到香港政府2000 年訂下的目標 • 目前, 自資全日制經評審的專上課程中, 副學位課程共 415個, 學位課程共 51個, 由19所教育機構, 共 23個單位提供

  4. 香港理工大學及專業及持續教育學院 • 理大學生最多, 總人數28,000, 共 8 所學院、26 學系, 設有「境外中心拓展處」, 也參與了國際的太空任務 • 專業進修學院(School of Professional Education and Executive Development, 簡稱SPEED)於1999年成立，提供實用課程 • 香港網上學府(Hong Kong CyberU) 於2000年成立，提供本科至博士學位的網上課程 • 香港專上學院(Hong Kong Community College, 簡稱HKCC) 於2001年成立，提供全日制副學士課程 • 專業及持續教育學院(College of Professional and Continuing Education, 簡稱 CPCE) 於2002年成立，專責統籌及管理HKCC、SPEED、和 HK CyberU的運作及發展

  5. 專業及持續教育學院的現況 • 香港專上學院 (HKCC) • 學生總人數約 5,200,包括 20名內地學生 • 課程共26項, 涵蓋應用社會科學、工商業、人文及傳意和科技四大範疇，並有設計、美容和健康護理等專科課程 • 香港進修學院 (SPEED) • 學生總人數超過3,000 • 22項由 SPEED或英國, 澳洲及加拿大等海外學府頒授的全日制或兼讀制課程，由副學位、文憑、學士、企業主管文憑至碩士程度不等 • 6 項全日制學士銜接課程 (Top-up Degree Programme)

  7. 專業及持續教育學院圖書館(CPCE Libraries) • 圖書館目錄: http://lib.cpce-polyu.edu.hk/ • 紅磡灣館和九龍西館 • 面積合共3,380平方米, 近300台電子計算機, 超過1,200 閱讀座位, 近 30 間大大小小的小組研討室並多用途活動室, 並電子資源中心, 語言自學中心等設施. • 讀者6,200多人, 館藏採購自2006年底開始, 至今已採購了近二萬項資料

  9. 新的圖書館管理 • 與有關部門在財政事宜上緊密合作: 圖書館經費計算 • 數據的收集及目的 : 基於經費計算的方法 • 準確識別使用者的身份 • 剛好的資源 • 開放性 • 支援
