What to See in Vietnam - Essential Places

The Mekong Delta, one of the largest rivers in the world, covers the whole area south of Ho Chi Minh City and is a tangle of rice fields, canals, markets and cities, being the most densely populated area in all of Vietnam. Normally, it is visited on a one-day tour organized by one of the dozens of travel agencies in Saigon, an experience that is already quite touristy and that knows little.

  2. Vietnam Tour In order to optimize the route, a Vietnam travel itinerary is usually in the South-North or North-South direction, depending on the point of arrival, usually Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi, and the points of interest are the themselves. Vietnam is a "long" but "narrow" country.

  3. Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) Ho Chi Minh, before the war called Saigon, is the commercial capital of Vietnam, heiress of the capitalist past of American influence is the Sin City of this country. It is a good place to party and visit war memorials such as the Museum of American Occupation or the tunnels excavated by the Viet Cong resistance on the outskirts of the city.

  4. Mekong Delta The Mekong Delta, one of the largest rivers in the world, covers the whole area south of Ho Chi Minh City and is a tangle of rice fields, canals, markets and cities, being the most densely populated area in all of Vietnam. Normally, it is visited on a one-day tour organized by one of the dozens of travel agencies in Saigon, an experience that is already quite touristy and that knows little. To try to enjoy a little more wealth of the area, the ideal will be to spend there a few days and try to get out a little of the tourist tracks. Also one can enjoy Mekong bike tours

  5. PhuQuoc Vietnam is not exactly a paradisiacal destination for beaches like neighboring Thailand. Except in PhuQuoc. Ideal for those who need a beach during the holidays or to rest after having crossed Vietnam from one end to the other

  6. Dalat Vietnam The secret off the tourist trail is Dalat. This is a former mountain resort of the French, with a climate very similar to the European. To get to know this central region, the best way is to take a motorcycle tour , one or more days, with the Dalat Easy Rider , and get to know the true Vietnam: rural, authentic, without schemes for tourists, just pure sympathy and Vietnamese hospitality

  7. Ho An Vietnam Hoi an is the most picturesque city in Vietnam, which has preserved its historic center intact with its Japanese merchant houses, Chinese temples and tea warehouses. The chaos of Saigon and Hanoi is light years away and this is a place of rest, to take advantage of the beaches and with the possibility of making suits and dresses tailored to the many tailors

  8. Hue Vietnam Hue is the former imperial capital of Vietnam and now Unesco World Heritage, although much of its most beautiful buildings have been destroyed during the American War. Located on the banks of the Perfume River, this city is now a mix of the new, with all the new post-war buildings, and the old one, with its ancient citadel walls and countless temples.

  9. PhongNha Vietnam PhongNha and Ke Bang National Park is one of the most beautiful areas of Vietnam and worth a visit without a doubt. Amongst numerous caves where you can take boat trips, the magnificent river, rural villages, stunning landscapes and some radical activities, the ideal is even to rent a scooter and walk around without destination! Two or three days are not too much to enjoy well all around.
