IEP Requirements • Base modifications/accommodations on student need • Do not assume that every student needs the same accommodations • Consider language differences/barriers • Test accommodations must be used in the classroom on a routine basis • Teach use of assistive technology devices (calculator, spellers, AlphaSmart, Kurzweil, etc), then make sure students are using them in class
