  2. What does it mean to embed a quote? • “weaving” a quote through the sentences instead of just awkwardly “plopping” them into a paragraph.

  3. example Erich Maria Remarque’s novel All Quiet on the Western Front gives readers a vivid, first-hand account of Paul and his comrades’ lives on the front lines. “The air becomes acrid with the smoke of the guns and the fog. The fumes of powder taste bitter on the tongue. The roar of the guns... the reverberation rolls raging...everything rages” (52-53). This shows that .... What’s wrong with this quote?
