  2. InLocality • InLocality is a Strategic Business Unit of Radioactive Networks Pty Ltd. • InLocalityis being set up to commercialize technology developed by Radioactive Networks

  3. InLocality • The Core Business of InLocality is Non-GPS based Tracking. • This includes • Bluetooth • WiFi • RFID

  4. InLocality Blue • InLocality Blue is our Bluetooth based product • One of the issues with tracking people is getting them to carry a device to be tracked. • InLocality Blue gets around this issue by keeping track of a persons Cellphone. • Radioactive Networks is a member of the Bluetooth SIG.

  5. InLocality Blue • Bluetooth enabled ID badges are also available for a corporate environment. • They are an alternate to a Cellphone

  6. InLocality Blue • We are also working on Bluetooth Pager type devices that can be worn if you do not want to carry a cellphone • Pager functionality may be available. This is yet to be determined. • Optional GPS receiver to record locations when out of Bluetooth range

  7. InLocality Blue Privacy • The Cellphone is tracked by Bluetooth. • To be tracked, simply turn Bluetooth Browsable on. • To stop being tracked, simply turn Browseable off. • Since the phone is under the control of the person carrying it, they are responsible for their own privacy.

  8. InLocality Blue WhoNearMe • WhoNearMe allows you to see where people are. • It can select people based on :- • Near a base station • Near a location • In an Area • On a campus • Within the company

  9. InLocality Blue WhoNearMe • Allows you to see the location of :- • Everyone • Friends • Workmates • Team members

  10. InLocality Blue • Custom Avatars are available within the standard User Interface • They humanize the concept of tracking indoors.

  11. WhoNearMe Modes • The WhoNearMe application has many modes • All devices operating in a Company. • All devices operating within a Campus • All devices operating within a Area • All devices operating within a Zone • All devices operating within a Zone and Adjoining Zones.

InLocality Blue Infrastructure • InLocality reduces the cost of indoor tracking by commoditizing the hardware for indoor tracking. • Inside a company, every PC becomes a base station with the addition of an inexpensive Bluetooth dongle and some simple software. • If the PC is not turned on the remaining nodes reorganise themselves.

  13. Infrastructure • Base Stations are attached to each PC in an area directly or via Cat-5 cable. • For best results every PC should have the hardware and software installed

  14. Infrastructure • Base Station software is presently available for Microsoft Windows. • Software for Linux and MAC OS-X will be available in the future • Firmware for ASUS routers will also be available in the future

  15. InLocality Blue 'The Boss Is In' • ‘The Boss Is In’ is a graphical application along the line of the old Snoopy cartoon noting that the ‘Doctor is [IN]’.
