  2. OSCAR PISTORIUS Oscar Pistorius was born in Pretoria, 22nd November. He is a paralympic runner because his legs were amputated below the knee when he was 11 months old. He began in sports world practising ruby, tennis and water polo but he suffered an important injury and he was introduced to running in January 2004. He was too good at paralympics; he won six gold medals, one silver medal and a bronze medal in three different Paralympic Games. He was the first paralympic athlete who ran an Olympic Race in the world.

  3. ENHAMED ENHAMED Enhamed Enhamed was born in Gran Canaria but his parents live in Sahara. When he was nine years old, he became blind because he suffered from a glaucoma. This illness made his life impossible, but one day he started swimming and he discovered a new world that allowed him to forget his illness. He has won ten bronze medals, twelve silver medals and fifteen gold medals and he has four records; European and world records. In his free time he works to help other people with problems.

  4. TERESA PERALES Teresa Perales was born in Saragossa, on the 29th December 1975. She is a paralympic athlete. She is one of the people that has won more medals in Paralympic Games. She became paraplegic when she was nineteen years old. Then, she didn’t know how to swim. But after she became paraplegic, she learnt to swim and one year later, she started competing. She has won six gold medals, six silver medals and ten bronze medals in four different Paralympic Games. She has won twenty-three more medals in European championships and in different championships.

  5. CHRIS WADDELL Chris Waddell was born in 1968 in America. He was a promise as a skier but in 1988, he suffered an accident and he became paralytic, but it wasn’t a problem for him because he won thirteen medals in the Paralympic games, In 2009 he climbed to the top of the Kilimanjaro without help and it occurred the same day that he lost his legs. On the 5th May 2010 he was named the 2010 Shining Star of Perseverance by the Will Return Council of  Assurant Employee Benefits.

  6. IM DONG-HYUN Im Dong-Hyun was born on 12th May 1986 in South Korea. He is a paralympic athlete who is blind because he had a severe myopia, that can be considered blindness. He hold a record in archery and he won two gold medals and one bronze medal in the Olympic games, and he also won four gold medals and two silver medals in world championships.

  7. SARAI GASCÓN She was born in Terrassa, on the 16th November,1992. She was born without one hand and the forearm. She started training in Club Natació Terrassa. Her first championship was the Paralympics of Beijing, where she won a silver medal. She also participated in the European Swimming Championship in Reykjavik, where she won a bronze medal. When she was 17 years old, she took part in the 2010 Adapted Swimming World Championship in the Netherlands where she won two silver medals and three bronze medals. She won a gold medal in 2011 European Championships too. In the Paralympic Games of London in 2012 she won a silver medal and a bronze medal
