  1. Senior Capstone Project CCCTC Guidelines

  2. “Senior Project integrates skills, concepts, and data from the student’s program of study into one culminating project.” Project should highlight what was learned in career path & can be used to showcase a student’s work when applying for college or employment.

  3. Project contains three parts Research Paper

  4. Project contains three parts 2. Product

  5. Project contains three parts 3. Presentation

  6. Research Paper • Full Day: Will complete in English class. • Half Day: Will need to complete on own time OR if research paper completed for home school, can use if related to Interactive Media project.

  7. Research Paper • Paper should be more than just a “History” paper • Scientific data, comparison

  8. Product • Actually “make” something related to career path • Can build something as group, but each student responsible for one part (or more) • Product could be “scaled-down” model • Product could be data/results from scientific experiment/inquiry

  9. Presentation • After completion, present to class, administrators, representatives from industry • Formal presentation • Explain how learning was applied in development of project • Should have 2 visual components (power point, product, etc.)

  10. Portfolio • 3 ring binder • Time logs • Must make entry every time project is worked on • 15 hours of non-school time • Mentor • Sketches, technical drawings • Pictures of fabrication • Testing data • Research paper
