What we are doing • WP2: Data collection and analysis • Task 2.2 – Analysis of Russian regional data • according to this methodology partners evaluate the data quality on seven Federal Districts of RF • and then write reports (explanation of your expert evaluation) by the end of May 2010 • IET – Central and South Districts • VSU – North-Western District • USU – Ural and Volga Federal Districts • FECED – Far East and Siberian Districts Please send us your “not-OK” regarding any data as soon as possible, so that we can change the data accordingly.

What we are doing • WP3: General structure of the model • Task 3.1 – Mathematical formulation of the general model structure • Task 3.2 – Model building • Task 3.3 – Construction of the model parameters • Task 3.4 – Calibration of the model • TML - model code (December 2009) • TML - plugs in data (results form WP2 - team leader CEFIR) (May 2009) • TML - sends results to other teams (end of May 2010) • other teams - results assessment (June 2010) • other teams - scenario formulation (June 2010) WP3 Deliverables (M18 – June 2010) • Preliminary results are to be presented at the meeting in June 22-23 • D3 – Description of the general structure of the SUST-RUS model (TML)

What we are doing • WP4: Sustainability indicators • Task 4.1 – Literature review of sustainability indicators • Task 4.2 – Construction of the set of the social indicators • Task 4.3 – Construction of the set of the economic indicators • Task 4.4 – Construction of the set of the environmental indicators • Task 4.5 – Development of the policy assessment framework • WP4 leader →TML • other partners → form up a list of indicators that regional authorities are using, it will improve the analysis (May-June 2010) • TML → makesthe framework for indicators, chooses indicators WP4 Deliverables (M18 – June 2010) • D4 – Description of a set of sustainability indicators for the SUST-RUS model (TML)

  6. D5 – is the result of three WPs • D5 tasks from Task Leaders → April 2010 • IM5. Discussion of WP5, WP6 and WP7 progress → Month 22 – Oct 2010 • Parallel work: ZEW, TML, CEFIR → May 2010 – March 2011 • IM6. Presentation of results of WP5, WP6, WP7 and progress on WP8 → Month 28 – Apr 2011 Start month – 16 (April 2010) End month – 27 (March 2011) • WP5 Deliverable (M27 – March 2011) • Description of the environmental, international and social part of the model

Save the date • June 22-23, 2010 – a working seminar • Just before the end of the first reporting period Peter de Smedt will come to CEFIR to discuss the SUST-RUS progress and explain us the current EC regulations on project reporting • June 2010 – end of the 1st reporting period • within 40 days after the first reporting period we will have to submit the Report to the European Commission June 2010 – end of the 1st reporting period • within 40 days after the first reporting period we will have to submit the Report to the European Commission • Our next internal meeting – IM5 “Discussion of WP5, WP6 and WP7 progress • October 2010 – where? • IM6 + Public Seminar – April 2011, Vladivostok (?) • This public seminar is to be held in order to share findings and discuss strategies of linking international, social and environmental modules. .
