  2. About the invention A machine gun is a fully automatic mounted or portable firearm, usually designed to fire bullets in quick succession from an ammunition belt or magazine, typically at a rate of several hundred rounds per minute.

  3. What it replace The first machinegun replace the original rifle, witch fire bullets one by one.

  4. What was it used for? It was basically used for war and security.

  5. Who invented the first automatic rifle? An American inventor, Dr. Richard J. Gatling, invented in 1861 and patented in 1862 the hand-cranked multibarrel gun that can be considered the first cartridge machine gun. It was used in the American Civil War.
