  2. In the Bathroom children can… • Drown in the toilet or tub • Bump into the hardware • Be electrocuted by hair dryers, etc. • Be poisoned by medicine or cleaning products There should be a parent with them at ALL times!

  3. Simple and easy ways to prevent an accident! Prevent it. • Be in the bathroom with them and keep an eye on them at all times! • Cover sharp edges with hand when they start to go near it. • Keep all electrical appliances OUT OF REACH or put away! • Keep all medicine or product kept away in closets or cabinets.   4. In the Kitchen children can… • Cut themselves with broken glass or sharp utensils • Pinch their fingers in large appliances • Be poisoned by cleaning supplies • Be burned by hot beverages or appliances Keep sharp objects OUT OF REACH!

  5. Keep them safe in the Kitchen! • Keep sharp objects completely out of reach! • Keep them away from the dishwasher (especially when it is on!) • Clean up after yourself! • Put childproof locks on all cabinet doors!

  6. In the Living Room/Bedroom Children Can… • Have unstable furniture fall on them • Be cut by furniture with sharp edges • Be strangled by mini blind cords • Can suffocate from a curtain

Prevent the problems! • Get unstable furniture fixed or just keep children out of bedroom where it is. • Buy padding to put on sharp edges or cover with hand when child is near it. • Have a hook high on the wall to wrap the long blind cord around to keep it from being in reach. • Don’t get long curtains, or fold them up when in the room.
