Introduction Way back, in 1961, Bangladesh received its first agricultural university, which is also the second-largest public university. Located in Mymensingh, BAU received the third rank in the country in the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking, and in Asia, it is one of the top-ranking agricultural universities. Overview of Bangladesh Agricultural University History Bangladesh Agricultural University BAU started its journey with just two faculties- the Veterinary and Agricultural Faculty. However, it had a di?erent name then - East Pakistan Agricultural University. It got a new name Swadhin Bangladesh Agricultural University during the war of independence. Slowly the university kept on adding faculties.
