Objectives • Promote the networking and exchange of experience among the Brazilian professionals living abroad • Help to promote the Brazilian companies in the world market • Promote the strength of the country’s business image internationally • Access information about Brazilian companies , projects and people .

  3. Participants • Successful corporate executives, senior professionals, willing to contribute to the objectives of the Diaspora Network through advice, mentoring and networking. • Members will have the opportunity to participate in start-ups and to invest in Brazilian companies .

  4. Organization • Chapters (by geography): US and Europe • Chapters (by sector): SW and Services, Life Sciences, Engineering, Microelectronics, Wireless • Each chapter will be led by a Chapter Chairman .

  5. Members • Members by invitation or by application? • Members accepted after review by an Evaluation Committee • Members are invited to participate in any chapter meeting and activities and in the Annual Summit • Member´s nominal fee : U$100/year .

Brazil Outsourcing+Captive Center Seminar • Created to promote Brazil in the world market of Software and Services • Seminar Brazil Outsourcing 2005: local service providers and international consultants • Seminar Captive Centers 2006: local subsidiaries of multis as service providers to corporations • Seminar Brazil Outsourcing and Captive Centers 2007: partnerships between local service providers and subsidiaries of global companies. .

Mentoring Program • To help the company leadership to understand what is needed to succeed internationally • Focused on emerging companies • Diagnose problems, identify gaps and solutions • Prepare companies to work on solutions on their own initiative • Prepare companies for angel/risk capital funding .

Mentoring Program 2 • Eligibility : based on Nasscom Project • Company applies to participate • Mentor Panel shortlists 8 companies for diagnostic session and select 4 for Mentoring • Mentorship Process-6 months+2 month extension • Mentors and Companies sign NDA • Mentors meet Company for 2-3 hours/month • One month’s notice to terminate engagement .

  12. TiE – The Indus Entrepreneur • Started in 1992 – today: 1,400 Charter Members, 10,000 Members and 44 Chapters • Charter Members by invitation only and acceptance by an Evaluation Committee • Special Interest Groups: Semiconductors, Networking, Wireless, Life Sciences, Software and Services .
