2. *Teachers sign the sign-up sheet with the date they are going to be absent.*Students decide who has the free time to video the teacher in their classroom during their planning time.*Student videos the teacher and saves the video to a memory stick.*Student then uploads the video to the teacher’s desktop or website.*The teacher includes this in their sub plans so that the sub knows to show the video to the students when their day begins.*The sub and classroom teacher completes the survey and returns it to the group. 3. *We noticed a lack of focus when our teacher was gone. We also noticed a lack of consistency of what the teacher meant for us to do or know and what the sub would tell us do. Student behavior was also an issue so we wanted to address when we had a sub. *The teacher and sub fills out a survey at the end of the day. So far, they have all really loved it. They say it improves all areas for them. It helps with the lessons for the day plus students know what is expected from them. *Hopefully this project will grow to other schools.
