OSGi Alliance goals HGI relevance • The integration of an OSGi service platform is the last foreseen step for the Home Gateway to become a full blown Service Gateway (multiple services scenario). • Definition of an industry standard for an open service management and delivery platform as a focal point of service providers, developers, manufacturers and consumers. • Primary targeting small/embedded devices, such as home gateways, telematic devices and mobile phones. • Facilitates installation and operation of multiple services on a single platform. members • Operators, manufacturers and technology providers from fixed, mobile and automotive industries. • Operators that are HGI and OSGi members as well: Belgacom, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, NTT, Telefonica, TeliaSonera.
