  2. Warm up • Tell your partner (using ASL of course) what you are wearing.

  4. LEQ • How does one establish a reference point? • How does one differentiate between the three types of shapes? • How does one give a command?

  5. Daily Intro • TODAY WHAT • TOMORROW WHAT • YESTERDAY WHAT • WEATHER OUTSIDE WHAT q q q q

  6. Fly Swatter • 1 or 2 students will be in charge of writing the concepts on the board • Other students are responsible for signing words/concepts we have learned throughout the unit. • You may not repeat words/concepts so pay attention to what your peers use!

  7. 3 types of shapes • Linear/circle • non=-dominant hand held as reference point, dominant hand outlines the shape • Symmetrical • Use both hands symmetrically • Asymmetrical • Non-dominant hand held as reference point while other hand traces the shape

  8. Draw It! • First, Watch me sign several and draw them on your white board. I will announce when to show me your boards. Please don’t look at your neighbor (they may be wrong ) • Your turn! Practice signing and drawing several shapes with your partner

  9. Combination Shapes • A shape with another shape • Describe first shape • Use NDH to hold ref. point use DH to indicate new location for 2nd shape • Describe 2nd shape

  10. Practice! • First, Watch me sign several shapes/combination shapes and draw them on your white board. I will announce when to show me your boards. Please don’t look at your neighbor (they may be wrong ) • Your turn!
