    2. June 11, 2008 2 Bayside High School Student Bayside High School was designed to offer students 9-12 grades a challenging and supportive environment. Built with Pennies for Pinellas sales tax monies, the school is Pinellas County’s first long-term alternative school which will serve about 500 students identified as habitually truant, too old for their grade level and off-track for graduation.

    3. June 11, 2008 3 Bayside High School Student Unlike reassignment schools where students go for one or two semesters, Bayside will keep students until graduation. Students will be offered both a credit based diploma or beginning next semester, students can complete GED classes, pass the GED test and pass the FCAT to receive a diploma.
